KCAU 9 Theater: Christopher Robin – 8/9/2018


MORGAN AND SCOTT: I NEED TO START OUT BY MAKING A CONFESSION. I WALKED INTO THE THEATER WITH VERY LOW EXPECTATIONS ABOUT THIS MOVIE. TO BE COMPLETELY HONEST, I’VE NEVER BEEN A BIG FAN OF KID MOVIES. HOWEVER, THIS ONE WAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE. I THINK EVERYONE CAN AGREE POOH AND HIS FRIENDS COULDN’T BE CUTER. I WANTED TO REACH THROUGH THE SCREEN AND HUG THEM MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE MOVIE. IS THAT WEIRD? PROBABLY. BUT THIS MOVIE GOES FARTHER THAN JUST THE CUTENESS FACTOR. IT HAS GREAT THEMES THAT I COULDN’T HELP BUT THINK WERE AWESOME FOR THE KIDS IN MY THEATER TO BE LEARNING. CHRISTOPHER ROBIN IS A BIT OF A WORK-AHOLIC. THIS LEAVES HIS DAUGHTER AND WIFE FEELING NEGLECTED. BY THE END OF THE MOVIE, AND WITH THE HELP OF THE CHARACTERS, HE REALIZES HIS PRIORITIES: THAT THE PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE ARE MUCH MORE IMPORTANT THAN WORK. 7/9 CHRISTOPHER ROBIN IS A SWEET-AS-HONEY STORY FEATURING MORGAN:AFTER THE BREAK… WE’LL
